The Hebrew Hova, AKA Kosha Dillz, AKA Rami Even-Esh, just premiered his video for "West Coast Flavor" on HipHopDX yesterday and the Koreatown resident is already getting love in the blogosphere. The video - shot and filmed here in LA - features food trucks and shots of Venice, and the song includes Big Pooh plus a solid beat and hook to to cruise around with the top down!
Got a post Coachella hang-over? Didn't go, not hungover at all and feeling a bit down? The best cure for both is to go see more music. If we're suggesting shows for tonight, and we are, then we'd say go see The Faint with White Arrows at The Observatory. Or, if you want to get real crazy with your Monday, check out Koshachella with Kosha Dillz, the Hebrew Hammer of Hip Hop (aka Yung Menorah, Lil' Latke, etc. etc.), Y-Luv and some other bands will be rocking The Joint with Kosha tonight.
Full show list is below. Remember, Monday is just another word for Friday.
Finally back in Los Angeles for more than five minutes - which means SUPERGOOD will be hitting the pavement, NAMM and venue bars to indulge in the finest of musical offerings. Tonight - its time to go underground for some classic hip-hop.
Former Def Jux act, Cannibal Ox reunite for a performance at The Roxy that celebrates more than a decade since the release of Cold Vein. They've been joined nationally by Chicago veteran rapper Keith Masters, whose "Game Day: Pt II" has been a football friendly synch all year long - but in LA the show gets an extra dosage of street from the illest Jewish rapper in Koreatown - Kosha Dillz. To participate in a contest to get on the guest list - tweet out @theroxy @supergoodmusic @koshadillz @keithmasters #cannibaloxreuniontour - and maybe you'll win a pair of tickets!
On the westside, there is more underground chemistry, but of the electronic and beat variety in the form of Break Science's late show at The Central SAPC. They're joined by Continuum (jobot Live) - doors are at 10.
Muse rocks Staples Center for proper if you are looking for an entertainment spectacle. Support from Band of Skulls means it should be solid from opening to close.
Other notable shows include Nia Andrews at Del Monte Speakeasy, a free performance from FIDLAR at Amoeba Records, Sarah Silverman at Largo and Ours with Lady Sinatra and The Diamond Light at The Viper Room.

Over the last several years I've had the opportunity to get to know MC Kosha Dillz and the privilege of watching his career and character evolve and blossom. The man also known as Rami Even Esh has come along way from the formerly incarcerated KD Flow. Graduating from freestyles and CD-R's to commercial releases in record stores and characters in video games.
2012 was quite the rollercoaster for Kosha Dillz - starting with a Super Bowl commercial and grinding through Paid Dues Festival, Warped Tour, Rock The Bells, tours with RZA, Matisyahu and Alex Clare, being in the BET Cypher and ultimately ending with what he does best - freestyles on stage. All of his traveling certainly took a lot of effort and money, and also provided a platform for a lot of content creation. Now he needs to edit all that content and he's reached out for donations so he can complete the documentary of his trials and tribulations - a film he calls Kosha Dillz Is Everywhere: The Hustle to Happiness.
Check out his clever Kickstarter video and then figure out if you've got a buck or two to send his way. His Kickstarter campaign is here.
As you enter the final weekend of 2012 - you might be thinking what the hell happened this year? Or maybe you're thinking I should have seen more concerts....if its the latter, we've got a few gems here in L.A. tonight that could be a nice piece of your 2012 yearbook. Zoos Zoos and Iheartcomix present Turquoise Jeep, Myyki Blanco, Brrang-A-Dang and Kosha Dillz at The Central SAPC is where the turn up will likely be the realist. Turquoise will make sure you are familiar with the term "smang" before the evening is over, the party is likely to get gaymous and opener Kosha Dillz's humorous raps will make sure the night launches on a good foot.
For some more seasoned hip-hop veterans - Evidence is joined by the Beatjunkies DJ Rhettmatic at The Viper Room and long time Cypress Hill running mates, Psycho Realm, perform at The Observatory.
For dubsteppers and beat fiends - Skream's headlining performance at Avalon begins a series of four nights where the venue should be packed, sweaty and throbbing with bass and dance music (Skream is only playing there tonight). Dank (USA) supports!
Other notabels include Fishbone at Key Club and The Growlers at Fonda Theatre. For more shows - see below:
Gabriel Iglesias @ Gibson Amphitheatre
Aly & Fila, John O’Callaghan (Armada Night) @ Exchange
LA
A song called "Bong Hits" might grab your attention even if it doesn't sound that great at the beginning. Without their pre-existing fame, I'm inclined to think music (or a group) like this would be turned down at Mad Decent's doorstop. But Riff Raff, Dirt Nasty and Andy Milanokis' super-group Three Loco is pioneering the new streets of quirk hop that was once the battleground of lesser known underground lyrical talents like Kosha Dillz and MC Lars. Watch out Das Racist - there's a new trio in funny rap. Check your pockets for your pills and your stash because Three Loco's on the loose....
Drawing from the legacy of MLK and sampling from the Notorious B.I.G. - bi-coastal rapper Kosha Dillz verbally paints a canvas of an alternate reality in "It Was All A Dream." The songs speaks truth ("Mom says some things never change, when I grow up somethings might not be the same...") - but one thing is for certain, a song with a Biggie sample is usually worth listening to.
A week before Halloween goes down - you can already start giving your costumes a taste of nightlife if you're going as a ninja by celebrating the pending release
of the latest Tarantino influenced Kung fu film, The Man With The Iron Fist,
with RZA as he takes to House of Blues Sunset. He is joined by the Guerilla Union family and a cast of rapping characters – including some Wu brethren (rumors of U God, amongst others) as well as freestyle
veterans Supernatural and Kosha Dillz. Check out the superdope new video from RZA and Black Keys for a song from the film's soundtrack.
Head west on Sunset – and get even more use out of your costume - where you'll find Black Crystal Wolf Kids finishing up their residency of cover (or costume) music at
The Viper Room with Ninja Betty and The Nunchix and The Damselles & TC4 - making it their best line-up yet.Flume
continues tearing up L.A. locals – this time at Low End Theory with Eprom
topping the bill.
The jammier set can get down with Jerry Joseph & The Jackmormons at The Mint. We have a pair of tickets to dish out - so hit us at contest@supergoodmusic.com if you are interested. Otherwise - dig through the list below to find something else that suits your sonic proclivities.

We've got a pair of funky giveaways going on for The Mint going on this week - tonight's Alan Evans Trio show and tomorrow's final installment of Erick "Big Lil Baby Jesus" Coomes' Peasant Party. Founder, writer and drummer of Soulive, Alan Evans brings his latest outfit - Alan Evans Trio - to the Pico based enclave tonight for a organ-ic night of music. With Danny Mayer (guitar) and Beau Sasser rounding out the band - they are embracing their first tour in support of Drop Hop - their debut album which was released in April 2012. Catch them tonight - and maybe even get in free via SUPERGOODMUSIC by hollering at contest@supergoodmusic.com.
Tomorrow - funk captain Erick "Jesus" Coomes breaks down his final Peasant Party for the month of August with help from an A-list of all-stars, including Ryan Crosby (Warren G). The two, along with Tyler "Tycoon" Coomes - will present a project titled Ray Jermaine - which has the odor of something funky and bad ass already. Don't miss the chance to see this premier (and possibly only) performance of Ray Jermaine that is likely to include additional special guests and another dosage of Coomes' new project Facemelter. Check out this video from last week's Peasant Party featuring Coultrain and Kosha Dillz.

Sunset Strip Music Festival 2012 is now well under way... A serious tribute to The Doors, which included Ray Manzarek playing a keys solo on "Light My Fire" as if he'd never play again, upped the bar on this still young festival. Joined by a parade of musicians including Billy Morrison, Matt Sorum, Mark McGrath, Emily Armstrong (Dead Sara), Linda Perry and Franky Perez - as well as Door's members Bobby Krieger and John Densmore - the third SSMF launched with a big blast off. Early close time at the Tribute meant other Sunset Strip enclaves opened their doors to the parade of festival-goers for the likes of Lady Sinatra at The Viper Room, Peter Murphy at The Roxy and more. Finding my way over to The Viper Room - Murphy's vocals pierced the air for a crowded house of rock fanatics and I got spent on a bit of a Roxy family celebration. Big shout outs to @nicadler for not only operating one of L.A.'s top venues and being so hospitable, but for also playing such an instrumental role in bringing the entire Sunset Strip Music Festival (@ssmf) together. Tonight Festival goers can grab a healthy dosage of hip-hop - from Hollywood scene rapper Mickey Avalon at The Viper Room to the Shaolin stylings of RZA at Key Club. RZA will be joined by rising Jewish MC and freestyle entertainer - Kosha Dillz - so make sure to get their early.... Peep videos from RZA, Mickey and Kosha Dillz here.
