Los Angeles Tonight (April 26, 2013)

Happy friggin Friday!  Lot's to be heard this FF too, so don't let the couch suck you in after NBA playoff games are over, get up and get heady.

Go see The Cave Singers at The Bootleg, because they are awesome.  Or go freak it to Crystal Castles at The Hollywood Palladium, because that too would be awesome.

BritWeek kicks off at The Echo with The Veils, Andy Burrows, and Pop Noir.

DJ Shadow is at The Observatory, remember to wait for the drop...

Or go hear some Chappo w/ Francisco the Man at The Satellite.

All good choices, all there for the taking Los Angeles...

Los Angeles Tonight (April 15, 2013)

Got a post Coachella hang-over?  Didn't go, not hungover at all and feeling a bit down?  The best cure for both is to go see more music.  If we're suggesting shows for tonight, and we are, then we'd say go see The Faint with White Arrows at The Observatory.  Or, if you want to get real crazy with your Monday, check out Koshachella with Kosha Dillz, the Hebrew Hammer of Hip Hop (aka Yung Menorah, Lil' Latke, etc. etc.), Y-Luv and some other bands will be rocking The Joint with Kosha tonight.

Full show list is below.   Remember, Monday is just another word for Friday.

Tonight in L.A. (October 10, 2012)

The 10th day of October brings some noteworthy talent to Los Angeles' stages - some right at the apex of their hype (Grimes) and others just trying to keep milking the cow (Madonna).  Both will be spectacles for sure - and Madonna's not an artist to shake a stick at - but do you want to see her at Staples Center?

I'd recommend Grimes as she performs her second sold out event at El Rey Theatre with support from Elite Gymnastics, Myths and Brooke Candy.  Two other acts that are on point right now - Circa Survive and Grizzly Bear -headline tonight too.  Grizzly Bear takes to Greek Theater with Lower Dens opening while Circa Survive stands atop a rock bill with Touche Amore, Balance and Composure and O'Brother at Club Nokia.

Other fun shows include the filthy beats and danceable tunes of Opiuo and VibeSquad at The Roxy, A House for Lions at The Central SAPC, VUM's release event at The Echo and the indie rock cover stylings of Black Crystal Wolf Kids at The Viper Room.  We've got free tickets to giveaway for Opiuo - so tweet out to us (@supergoodmusic) and @theroxy to enter or email contest@supergoodmusic.com.

The Chef Cooks Up Another Good Track

Chef Raekwon, the infamous 'ice cream' man, typically delivers butter smooth flow. This latest track with Kofi Black - "I Love Your Crazy" - has a sexy piano melody and hook and a consistent spit from the Wu Tang Clan affiliate.

Enjoy. And if you're in the 303 or 702 - you could catch Chef Raekwon, Kofi Black and more - including Freddie Gibbs - at Fox Theatre in Boulder tonight. We're giving tickets away - so email contest@supergoodmusic.com if you want them!
