Los Angeles Tonight (August 8, 2013)

Some Los Angelenos begin their trek North for Outside Lands Festival - but if you are in L.A. tonight there is plenty of great music to make you feel like you won't be missing much.  You could catch OLF bound Daryl Hall and John Oates at Pacific Amphitheatre for starters.  New Zealand teen sensation Lorde plays to a sold out crowd at Echoplex.  Local act Breakfast, which includes another emerging female vocalist in Andrea Adolph, takes over El Cid with some help from News of the Fire and Ladyheat.  Close by - funky British rock act The Heavy hit Hollywood Blvd's Fonda Theatre with support from Silent Comedy.

To be skilled in the art of jazz is no small feat and Nicholas Payton has conquered and then some.  Watch his talent on display at The Mint.  We have some tickets to give away too - so just email if you want in.

FREE options include Hanni El Khatib and Bombino at the Santa Monica Pier and Sierra Leone's Refugee All-Stars at Skirball Center.  Find a list of more concerts below the videos...
