Prob Cause Gonna Knock You Out - "Flex"

Rising Chicago hip-hop artist Prob Cause is back in the music ring for another bout - this time delivering "Flex."  The second single off of his forthcoming "Recipe" project - showcases Prob midwest repping with clever metaphors and, in classic Chicago fashion, a varying flow speed.

Prob Cause breaks it down for his hometown this weekend at North Coast Music Festival as well as a stop in Bloomington on August 30th with another midwestern spitter - Machine Gun Kelly.  L.A. gets the privilege of another Prob Cause visit in early October for Filter's Culture Collide Festival; start training for the event by watching the video and copping Recipe (featuring Rockie Fresh, YP and more) when it is released this coming Labor Day weekend.

"Flex" video was directed by Elijah Alvarado and High Ambition.

Cisco Adler Interview/Performs Tonight

In anticipation of his Saint Rocke performance tonight and release of his first solo record "Aloha" - we caught up with California native Cisco Adler about this beachy vibes, star studded career and what he does for Fourth of July....

SUPERGOOD: What are you most excited about at this point in your career?
CISCO:  After years of producing and working with all the amazing artists I have had
the pleasure of rocking with, it feels freeing to step out and make an album for myself.
I'm excited about the possibilities.

SUPERGOOD: What has been your biggest accomplishment?

CISCO:  Too many to list.  Every one is a stepping stone to the next.
I'm concentrating on what WILL be my biggest accomplishment.

SUPERGOOD:  Where are some of your favorite places to perform?  Have you played at Saint Rocke before?

CISCO:  Red Rocks was AMAZING!!! The Greek in Berkeley. But I also dig the White Rabbit in San Antonio. Its a dirty little rock club and the kids go bananas!  This will be my first time at Saint Rocke but I have heard amazing things!

SUPERGOOD: Anything special tonight's attendees should know about?

CISCO:  First ten people in line get Bananabeat Snapbacks!  (get your tickets here)

SUPERGOOD: What did you do for the 4th?  Do you have a tradition?  What is your best fourth of july memory?

CISCO:   Got drunk.  Got stoned.  Ate well. Watched Fireworks.
Made love. Slept amazing!  That's my tradition every year.

SUPERGOOD: If there is one thing you've learned from being an artist - what is it?

CISCO:  Listen to your soul, not the voices in the background or the ones in your head.
Truth always wins and the blues never lose!

SUPERGOOD:  What artists are you most into right now?  DO you have a favorite song at the moment?

CISCO:  I love Mod Sun. i just produced his EP Happy As Fuck and he is on Warped (with Kosha Dillz, Machine Gun Kelly, Dead Sara and more) all summer.

He is the happiest dude on earth and an amazing rapper that will open peoples minds to
a new way to look at rap music. Pushing things forward.

SUPERGOOD:  Anything planned for the rest of 2012 that you want your fans to know about?

CISCO:  Fall tour. Get the EP

Machine Gun Kelly Stepped His Game (and Laces) Up at Key Club

This past Sunday I was able to witness one of the best white rapper performances I have ever seen. Sure I've caught Hoodie Allen, Chris Webby and some forgettable white rappers but none had the stage presence that Machine Gun Kelly displayed. He was a wild man in his Sunday performance at Key Club Hollywood, dancing his ass off to LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" and Blink 182's "What's My Age Again" while taking a couple big swigs of Grey Goose during his set. Displaying his rapid fire flow throughout the show, MGK stage dove multiple times and brought two fans on stage who conveniently donned Lace Up tattoo's.

It was an entertaining performance from Machine Gun Kelly to say the least and even the songs I didn't know, I enjoyed. He proved he's a musician to watch out for and has the potential to be a star in the hip-hop game, which P. Diddy realized when he signed him to a record deal over the summer. Celebs were there to indulge, including "Cooler Than Me" charmer Mike Posner. My favorite song I heard was "Stereo", which I heard as I entered the building and is below to listen and download.

Machine Gun Kelly AKA MGK - "Cleveland"

Machine Gun Kelly comes to us straight out of Cleveland, coincidentally the name of the aptly titled song "Cleveland"

MGK represents C-Town and Big Ohio quite well - paying particular homage to Shaker Heights, the high school he went to I presume. The same high school that spawned Kid Cudi and me, Boom D.

Houston born Colson Baker, better known as MGK or Machine Gun Kelly, feels home in the city on Lake Erie as displayed in his expletive laden, reference heavy video. While I don't expect him to be repping any other sect like that, I do expect to see more heat and bad ass raps from this rising midwestern MC in 2011.
