Tonight in L.A. (November 5, 2012)

Start the first full week of November with some musical celebrations - whether its the 250th Hunnypot Radio show at The Central SAPC with a DJ Set from Breaking Bad supervisor Thomas Golubic or the launch of The Record Company's residency at The Satellite - Monday the 5th kind of has it going on in LA.

LP and The Diamond Light should deliver at a sold out Troubadour show.  Violinist Emily Wells will impress an iheartcomix crowd at The Echoplex with additional sonic assistance from Dark Dark Dark and M.E.  Don't miss your chance to catch her skills with a bow and strings if you have not yet seen her.

Newcomers Aer turn out their bubble gum guitarish hip-hop at El Rey Theatre with support from Yonas and David Dallas.   For slightly more conscious rhythmic poetry - Saul Williams will be spitting at The Hotel Cafe.  For a full list of tonight's shows in LA - see below...

Tonight in L.A. (October 25, 2012)

The spooks of Halloween are basically upon us with a handful of events tonight to get your costumes dirty and your feet moving.

The weekly VS Party at The Central SAPC isn't a bad start - near lingerie like clothing is par for the course when it comes to attire, so a Halloween flavored dance party might step the naughty up a notch on the westside.   Neither is the Billboard Conference wrap party hosted by Hunnypot at Vanguard - there will be music in two rooms, including the verbal venom of Nina Dioz, catchy indie rock of Das Tapes and more.  Both events are technically free - although VS turns to paid entrance after 11.

If you're looking for headliners - look no further than Live Nation venues tonight.  Matt & Kim make sounds bigger than their 2 person show at The Wiltern with support from Oberhofer.  Over at Hollywood Palladium - Two Door Cinema Club gets into business with support from Friends and St. Lucia.  We are proudly giving away tickets to both shows so email us at contest@supergoodmusic.com if you want in on the action or alternatively tweet out @supergoodmusic @livenationLA and either @thepalladium or @wiltern.

On the east side I like what Echo is putting down - upstairs the indie vibes of White Arrows, Kitten and Blondfire might capture your attention, but personally I'm drawn to the show downstairs at Echoplex with Goldroom as headliner.  Rather than attempt to describe their eclectic sound - Goldroom is done justice by watching their video:

Other notable shows featuring up and comers include Bixel Boys at The Mint, TS & The Past Haunts at El Cid , Tropicool at Detroit Bar and Oona at Harvard & Stone.

Tonight in L.A. (October 22, 2012)

Its a sexy autumn night in Los Angeles as the air is getting chilly and Chad Valley's vocals get shrilly at Its A School Night at Bardot.  Chad brings his multiple talents as support for Nashville songwriter Erin McCarley, jazzed out indie act Monte Mar and Zac Waters also play.

Flume begins a multiple day run through the LA streets with a DJ set on the westside at Hunnypot Radio’s broadcast from The Central SAPC.  If you haven’t heard his beats – correct that.  Another producer I like, DJ Carnage, drops some freshness at The Roxy along with G. Easy and Kyle a.k.a. K.I.D.

Guitar licks of Kaki King can be heard at El Rey Theatre – but if you’re looking to rock on a budget, Superhumanoids, Vum and Cayucas at The Echo would be my suggestion.   Laughter?  Russell Brand will put you in check at Largo.

Tonight in L.A. (October 7, 2012)

Kick off the week with a lot more than just Monday Night Football.  In fact - catch the first half and then roll to the Spare Room for the premier of Robert Raimon Roy's self titled video if you're lucky (cause the Spare Room is dope and so is RRR!).  Check out the song below...

Stick around Hollyhood and go to Bardot for It's A School Night with New Orleans residents, and Dangerbird signees, The Royal Teeth - along with Touche and Chrome Canyon for a post Culture Collide celebration.   Stumble in late if you're leaving Florence and The Machine with the Weeknd and The Maccabees at Hollywood Bowl.

Eastsiders get a healthy serving of rising stars with Robert Delong doing his residency at The Echoplex with support from Tapioca & The Flea.  Upstairs at The Echo- Superhumanoids, Mr. Little Jeans and Carousel deliver another free show.  In the free department - Westsiders get the every other weekly Hunnypot Radio broadcast at The Central SAPC with guests Kii Arens as well as New Beat Fund, Vim Furor, Dr. Awkward and Barbi Crash.
