Tonight in L.A. (November 29, 2012)

If you'd like to enjoy a concert tonight to celebrate longtime SUPERGOODMUSIC Concert Blast subscriber Chris "Wicksauce" Wick's 30th Birthday  - I might suggest Mark De Clive Lowe's Church Sessions at Del Monte Speakeasy featuring Nia Andrews, amongst others.  Its close to the beach and they make some mean drinks downstairs at Townhouse.  Another alternative might be to go admit you're not worthy in the presence of Alice Cooper at Orpheum Theatre.

Get close to everyone at Fonda Theatre when Alex Clare of recent Microsoft/Bing commercial fame rocks the house with support from Moshav.

For some local flavor - check out El Cid with Ninja Betty & The Nunchix, Thunderdikk and Fartbarf or the DJ action of Guns in The Sun crew and Bixel Boys at the Dance Right party at La Cita.  Full list of shows below...recommendations in bold.

Tonight in L.A. (November 8, 2012)

-->
No shortage of good music for Los Angelenos tonight - from a slate of rock shows that we're giving tickets away to (Cat Power at The Palladium; Delta Spirit at The Wiltern; The Kin at The Roxy) to the last of the filthy beats from UZ at La Cita, its a night to get it in.

The crooning sounds of Nick Waterhouse erupt at The Constellation Room with opening licks from Boogaloo Assassins.  Also in the O.C. - Classixx, RAC, Cosmic Kids and Jerome LOL make the indie kids dance at Detroit Bar.  GottaDanceDirty crew does the same at their Versus event at The Central SAPC.  Iheartcomix fans mash out with Mount Kimbie at Icon Ultra Lounge since Los Globos is temporarily closed for events.

There is also The Kin and Act As If at The Roxy.  Want tickets?  We've got a few to dish out - just mention @theroxy and @supergoodmusic on twitter or email us at contest@supergoodmusic.com

Xmas Comes Early for L.A. Djs....

Christmas comes early. Party with Mike B, The Haycocks and DJ Pubes at La Cita if you don't feel like dropping $30 on the Stones Throw celebration at The Exchange. Either way - downtown is the place to be. For info on the Stones Throw celebration - check out our latest version of the LA Concert Blast.

Moustache Mondays at La Cita

Diplo is going to be in the house for Sam Sparro's B-Day party at La Cita tonight! This is going to be a wicked jam. I wish I didn't have so many obligations because I would go earlier to make it for free time (before 10) - but this party will rage until closing. Don't miss Diplo who just dropped a wicked mixtape that featured LA's own 12th Planet and whose remix of I Feel It All by Feist has been making my ears wet all day.

The Electro Majic Invasion

So, Keith Masters and Futurecop! descended upon Los Angeles delivering their futuristic, dream-wave, synth based electro majic music to three hungry crowds before going back into orbit and heading to San Francisco.

I had the pleasure of kicking it with the rising MC and production team all weekend and took in all three of their shows (El Cid was probably my favorite). Futurecop!'s album release is slated for the summer and will feature a smattering of songs that include Keith Masters, but look for a full on Masters and Futurecop! ELECTRO MAJIC release sometime not too far after that. Their genre melting music can already be heard on the internet and seen on our youtube channel with songs like "88 Girls" and "Teenage Love."

Below is a sampling of pictures from La Cita and El Cid (we ran out of batteries at 14 Below).
