This Should Get Packed - Jhameel at On The Rox Tonight

I saw this concert listing and had to do a double take.  Jhameel played a SUPERGOODMUSIC event at The Viper Room in October, opened for Hoodie Allen at El Rey Theatre in March and now he is playing at On The Rox?!?!?!?  Seriously.  It's as if L.A. is just oblivious to Jhameel's amazing drunk performance sessions (see below) or the Roxy talent buyers are just on that 'ish tip before the rest of their Sunset Strip brethren - because this intimate show at such a tiny venue is almost too good to be true.

The set time of 8:15 isn't that awesome - but performances in small places by kick ass musicians generally are - which is why you should bite the bullet, brave the traffic and be on Sunset Strip tonight.

Hoodie Allen Premieres "No Interruption" on Youtube

Hoodie Allen's back with a lead single "No Interruption" off of his debut EP "All American", which is slated for an April 10th release date. The much hyped 20-something unsigned MC releases the single and EP in anticipation of a national tour alongside Wax.

The video dropped this past week - and was featured on Youtube's homepage - helping it garner close to a quarter of a million views in just a few days. Its catchy, poppy and has themes of sex - so you know its a winner...

Its really nice to see the wealth of catchy hip-hop music being dumped on our ears this summer. With "Otis" being released recently it feels like there is about to be a return to classic sampling and less than wack commercial hip-hop. One of the up and comers we like is Hoodie Allen. Check out his latest "The Chase Is On" ....
