Los Angeles Tonight (May 31, 2013)

On the final day of this month of May - a strong suggestion goes out for The New Division, Gavin Turek, Monte Mar and Let's Drive to Alaska at The Central SAPC. This is the venue's rumored final show as new ownership comes in and allegedly plans to change the vibe. Come support the soon to be out of work bartenders and celebrate the closing of the westside's top concert destination.

Elsewhere you'll find Chvrches tearing up Fonda Theatre, The Peach Kings and Strange Vine putting some blues and emotion into indie rock at Bootleg Bar and White Arrows and Avi Buffalo doing the same at Constellation Room. The heady dub crowd ought to consider The Aggrolites and The Lions at Saint Rocke - especially because we are giving away tickets to the show. BUT, if you like your dub tunes extra filthy than Bro Safari and ETC! ETC! at Avalon is probably the best option.

Rockers on the rise Imagine Dragons invade Hollywood Palladium for the first of two consecutive nights with help from Nico Vega and The Envy Corps on Wednesday.  West on Sunset you’ll find the soul of crooner Bilal at Roxy Theatre and emerging newcomer Jez Dior, whose "Candles" track you might remember from a few months back, at The Viper Room.    Junip, On and On and Barbarossa at Troubadour should deliver some tasty audible pleasures too.

Catching Dustbowl Revival close out their residency at The Mint will most definitely be a party – so if you like some raucous rooty blues and jazz,check it out.    Kastle’s eclectic and eccentric electronic stylings travel to Low End Theory at Airliner where he is joined by regulars Daddy Kev, Nobody and Nocando as well as Odd Future crew's Mike G.
