Los Angeles has the privilege of hosting the kick-off to this year's
Lebowski Fest. Lebowski Fest, which celebrates the esteemed Coen Brother's Film
"The Big Lebowski" from the '90s - is an event that brings together fans of The Dude, Jesus, Walter, Shomer Shabbas, Bowling, The Coen Brothers, rugs that tie rooms together and Tara Reid's inherently poor acting skills (as depicted in the brilliant film).
It is a 2 day extravaganza that features both a big room screening of the classic and then a full fledged night of Lebowski themed bowling. White Russians flow freely, handguns may or may not be waived around bowling lanes and someone, undoubtedly, will bring a ringer. You may even find a guy in a purple body suit claiming to be none other than Jesus himself. The question is - will you be there to see it?
The screening is at
The Wiltern tonight and the bowling, trivia, etc. event is at
Cal Bowl tomorrow. Details are below. You can pick up discounted tickets for both nights for $39.99 - just go over to
lebowskifest.com to figure out how.
