Unfortunately Super Bowl Sunday is a cultural event - and in doing so - it often takes away from the volume of performers hitting the cities' streets, venues and nightclubs and 2013 is no different. Of the 60 + venues we ordinarily report on, only about 20% of them play host to a public live music offering. That list is below. Our recommendation - getting down with Dim Mak fam and the cool kids Thee Mike B, Fashen and DJ Metric at Drai's Hollywood.
- Matt & Alber, Lou Jane, Steffaloo @ The Hotel Café
- Acapella!, Street Corner Renaissance, Veritas, Voxel Rox @ WitZend
- The Toledo Show @ Harvelle’s
- House of Blues Gospel Brunch @ House of Blues – Sunset Strip
- The Reflections, Tashaki Miyaki, Joel Jerome (of Dios), DJ Ana Calderon @ The Satellite (FREE)
- The Bush Tetras, Terry Malts, Swahili Blonde @ The Echo
- Thee Mike B, Fashen, DJ Metric @ Drai’s Hollywood
- The Leeches, The Mormons, White Knight @ Alex’s Bar
- Cro-Mags, Strife @ Constellation Room
- Ascent, Capali Long, Phil DeSlott @ TRiP
- Froth, Cab 20, The Short Eyes, Santoros @ The Smell
- Stanley Jordan Trio @ Catalina Bar & Grill
